EchoVC is seeking a Director of Finance & Administration to lead the organization’s Finance team.  The ideal candidate will be a chartered accountant with 5+ years of work experience in Accounting, Finance, Budget & Planning and/or Audit & Assurance. The person in this role will work closely with all team members and report directly to the firm’s General Partner.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Management:

• Drive the strategy implementation process of EchoVC and work with the Director of Portfolio Operations to support our portfolio companies.
• Oversee the operations of the firm’s accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
• Dotted-line oversee the accounting operations of portfolio companies, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures
• Represent and report the organization’s progress on strategic goals to external shareholders
• Support the fundraising processes of the firm

Treasury Management:

• Manage cashflow projections to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
• Manage cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
• Mitigation of financial risks related to forex volatility on the Fund's investments
• Investment of outstanding funds

Transactions:

• Manage Accounts Payables & Receivables
• Monthly Bank Reconciliations
• Maintain accounting filing system with the chart of Accounts.
