JOB DESCRIPTION:
EchoVC is seeking a corporate development manager to support the organization’s efforts to consolidate operations regarding its portfolio companies. The Corporate Development Group focuses on evaluating and executing acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships, and also supports fundraising efforts when applicable. The Group is central to EchoVC’s continued growth and will support all aspects of identifying, evaluating, and executing impactful partnerships and transactions that have a significant impact on the overall direction and strategy of the Fund.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor M&A landscape and key announcements to develop view on key industry activities and overall market trends
- Identify, research and recommend industries, companies and technologies for EchoVC to evaluate from an M&A or strategic partnership perspective for its portfolio companies
- Support all aspects of the M&A process, including evaluation of business model attractiveness, strategic/financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and negotiation
- Develop and maintain models, dashboards and presentations that track and analyze our industry, as well as prospective M&A opportunities
- Analyze the company's objectives and identify, recommend and pursue technologies that can accelerate those goals
- Assess the costs, revenue and other benefits for both near- and long-term roadmaps that leverage the third party’s solutions and existing EchoVC’s portfolio companies’ capabilities
- Identify and educate team members on new, innovative technology trends and markets, and recommend high-potential investments
- Build close relationships with leaders at emerging and established companies in the startup community as well as with private equity and venture capital firms
- Support the team members in other key strategic initiatives by coordinating projects across teams, including engineering, product, design, and growth where possible
- Present strategic recommendations including acquisition business cases and valuation analyses to senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of relevant experience including a combination of corporate development, consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital and/or business and corporate development in a consumer Internet or mobile company
- Extremely analytical, with strong forecasting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with a commitment to delivering consistently accurate and high-quality work product.
